Beyond Good and Evil

by Friedrich Nietzsche

Nietzsche's critique of traditional morality and call to question inherited values. A challenging but essential read on how belief systems are constructed.

My Review

Nietzsche is deliberately difficult, but his core argument — that our moral frameworks are constructed, not given — has implications far beyond philosophy. In business and finance, we inherit systems, practices, and 'best practices' that deserve constant scrutiny. The concept of questioning what others take for granted is a skill that separates great analysts from good ones. That said, Nietzsche requires secondary reading to fully grasp, hence the 4 stars.
